Week of PR Packages – What’s New in Makeup?

Since I get so much makeup in the mail weekly, it’s almost impossible to thoroughly review and talk about every single piece! I decided I wanted to do these weekly unboxing posts to show you guys all the new products coming out in the makeup world and if you want me to go back and do something more in depth about a certain product shown here, I can most certainly do so!

If you’re unfamiliar with the term PR – it has few meanings, but the one I’m referring to here is a press package that companies send to influencers to try out and show off their new products coming out! If you want to read more about how I grew my career in the beauty community to be able to receive these packages, I have a whole blog post here!

Tarte Cosmetics Color Splash Shade Shifting Lipstick. The same smooth and creamy Color Splash formula as their previous launches, this time in Metallics! I’m usually not a fan of metallic lipsticks, but these are so gorgeous and will look amazing this summer!

Kat Von D x Divine collection. This collection is EVERYTHING. From the packaging design, to the shades of the palette… I’m in love. I definitely want to create a look with both the palette and lipstick, so stay tuned for a tutorial in the future!

Buxom Va Va Plump shiny liquid lipstick. I’m a huge fan of Buxom glosses, they are an amazing formula with the perfect amount of shine, so I’m really excited to try these out! The shade range is perfect and covers all the bases! They seem super high pigment with just one swatch, but I’ll update you on application once I give them a try!

Touch in Sol Metallist palette. I couldn’t find this online yet, but it is an interesting palette! It feels super creamy, almost wet, when swatched. I wasn’t super impressed with the pigmentation when I swatched it, but it could perform totally different on the eyes and with a brush, so I’ll just have to test it out!

NARS Wanted collection. NARS launched two brand new Blush palettes and two sets of mini liquid lipsticks. I love both the lipsticks and blushes so much, so I cannot wait to try these out! The colors in this collection are gorgeous! Not available online yet, but I’ll update as soon as it’s out!

Becca x Sananas Parisian Lights highlighter. I’m not sure who Sanana is that Becca collaborated with, but this highlighter is beautiful and I love the press on it! It’s more a rose gold/champagne shade, which I love!

Smashbox SuperFan Mascara and Always On Liquid Liner. I’m really excited about the liquid liner!! I have lash extensions right now, but once I get them removed I’ll be trying this out with the mascara!

Butter London Stroke of WOW mascara!

New Eyeris Beauty 3d Faux Silk false lashes. I love Eyeris Beauty lashes so much, I cannot wait to wear these once I’m done with my lash extensions!

Butter London Glazen Blush. Apparently, brands saw Farsali do the whole ‘jelly’ makeup thing and decided to hop on that, Honestly, I don’t like the texture of these and find them to be messy and inconvenient. It’s a fun, new concept, though!

NARS new highlighting powders. These are phenomenal! They swatched super subtle, but I think they’re just pressed really hard. Applied with a blush these give the most gorgeous glow! These aren’t on sale yet, but I’ll update!

Sigma had such success with their Cult fav Wicked Gel Liner, they expanded the Wicked line into both pencil and liquid liner! I loved their gel liner, so I can’t wait to see how these perform! I also have a discount code: ‘HAILIE’ to save you 10%!

So that about wraps up this weeks mail! I hope you guys enjoyed seeing all the new in the makeup world, let me know if you want me to continue these unboxing posts!

February Pupbox Unboxing

Since you guys enjoyed my last doggy subscription box unboxing, I figured I’d show off the second box that I get for Boba each month! Pupbox is the same concept as Barkbox – a monthly subscription that includes 5-6 items each month! We love this one because it usually includes more than just toys and treats. In the past we have received travel water bottles, bandanas, and a toothbrush and toothpaste!

I really love these sort of subscription boxes because it always includes a different array of treats and it’s awesome to mix it up constantly so Boba doesn’t get bored of his usual ones! In this month’s box, Boba got ‘It’s Purely Natural’ Chicken Tenders and ‘La Petit Treat’ peanut butter and apple treats. He was loving the Chicken Tenders the most, it’s the end of the month now and he has already finished off the bag! It was the perfect mid-day snack for him.

One of the toys in this month’s Pupbox was the ‘Go Dog’ Flying Pig! Boba is a heavy chewer, he can’t have stuffed toys because he rips them up immediately and makes such a mess! The only time he ever gets them is in these boxes, so I don’t mind cleaning up the mess as much because he really does have so much fun doing it. This toy he was so cute with, he carried it around with him for about two days, only ripping off the ears and wings, and even slept with it! He inevitably destroyed it, but I was surprised it actually lasted!

Next was the Himalayan Dog Chew Seasoning. I didn’t know if he was going to like something like this but now if I don’t sprinkle it over his food, he is so disappointed! He has been so obsessed with this!! I just know he gets bored of his same dog food, so I love the idea of this! I think I’m going to repurchase when we run out, or find something similar!

Lastly, he got the Rock n Roller. He’s pretty uninterested in this one, honestly. He hasn’t really picked it up or played with it. It’s kind of weighted and has a rubber-y smell to it. I didn’t understand what it even was at first, but apparently it’s supposed to be great for tug of war and to give them something to chew and bite down on. I really like the tie dye look of it though, it’s super cool looking!

Another thing I really love about Pupbox is that it comes with a sheet that gives you some training and development advice based on their age! It’s very informative and has seriously been so helpful! If you have a younger pup, this is an amazing box to try out! As your puppy grows, the box grows with you!

Boba always looks forward to his monthly boxes, as do I just because I loved opening them with him! He gets so excited about each item inside, it is so cute! Although this box is great for all dogs, I think this is best for younger ones. Boba has a special coupon code to help you save some money on your own subscriptions, too! Just use ‘BOBA’ at checkout! I hope you enjoyed this month’s unboxing and some more Boba content! Thanks for reading!

February Barkbox Unboxing

When I adopted my pup Boba, back in May, I knew I wanted to sign him up for one of those puppy subscription boxes so he would have a little surprise each month, with new toys and treats! I decided to sign him up for Barkbox because it was highly recommended to me, and he has been loving them ever since! He knows exactly when it comes in and gets so excited and crazy trying to open it! You guys have been wanting some more Boba content on the blog, so I thought a little unboxing from him would be fun! Here’s the link to sign up (we are not affiliated with Barkbox) and we went for the year long plan – definitely worth it!

Boba is signed up for the “Heavy Chewer” box because he tears up his toys so quickly! He still gets the super cute toys, but the best part is that once he destroys the outside, there is a little spiky ball inside that he cannot tear through – it’s like a two in one!

If you have a dog, I highly recommend Barkbox! We have tried a few others, but this is Boba’s favorite! I also love this one because each month is a fun, new theme – so cute! Let me know what else you guys want to see on the blog with Boba!
