HAPPY NEW YEAR! I can’t believe we made it to 2018!? I used to think this number was so out of reach when I was younger. I’d think about what I’d be doing at this point in my life and what sort of technology we would have by now. I’m not a teacher and we don’t have flying cars yet, so I guess my predictions were a little off. However, 2017 was my best year, career-wise, and I cannot wait to see what 2018 has in store! If you missed my post about my 2017 Highlights, you can check that out here!
At the beginning of each new year, we all tend to look at it as a chance to make changes and start fresh. I’ll admit I’m usually the person that has big resolutions and almost always falls off before March, but this time around I want to really stick to it and make some changes within my life and in myself.
Goals for this year:
- Travel more
- Cook more/Eat out less
- Cut out dairy completely (I am so sorry cheese)
- Actually stick to a workout routine
- Adopt our second dog (AHH!!!)
- Finish building our dream home (AHH PT.2!!!)
- Hit 500k followers on Instagram (silly, but still a goal nonetheless)
My resolutions this year are more so changes within myself as a person, rather than what I want to do and achieve this year. In 2017, I had some struggles in my personal life that made me a not so fun person in my ~social media~ life. I got down easily from hate comments and always felt I needed to defend myself/my name and would address every issue or rude comment that was said to me. I don’t want to be that girl that’s angry on the internet or that lets the world know that small things affect me very easily and take a toll on how I see myself. I want to stop being so fragile. I want to stop caring what people think of me. I want to start living my life for me and doing things that make me happy, not what I think will make others happy. I want to work harder on the content I put out, even if no one is seeing it (thanks YouTube algorithms..) I want to do more to help others and my community. I want to be a better version of myself in 2018 and I will do whatever I need to do this year to remain positive and working hard. This year we are taking care of our skin, body, and mind and being the best we can be. No more drama and giving our time to people who don’t deserve it. No more fake friendships. No more letting people walk all over me. No more struggling to say no. We are going into 2018 stronger than ever before.
I want to know what you guys’ 2018 goals and resolutions are, so please comment below! I love you all so much and can’t wait to see where this year takes us! 💘 Happy New Year!
